Team 25 Europe!
Oct 6
Team 25 Europe starts tomorrow and I'm excited! I also wanted to share what a Team is like, and what I think we can expect to learn over the next three days.
What is Team?
Team is Atlassian's (twice) year conference for customers, community and prospective customers. There are two - one in the spring (typically April or May) in the USA and another in October in Europe (typically in Barcelona). They run 3 days (Tuesday - Thursday) and are an opportunity to learn about big announcements, meet other people in the community and get exposed to different aspects of Atlassian's ecosystem.
Team tends to revolve around some main keynote events which announce major product released, changes to Atlassian's strategy and the like. For example at Team 25 in April we learned about the Strategy and Teamwork collections, and it was announced that Rovo will be included in Standard, Premium and Enterprise cloud subscriptions. The keynotes also tend to include individuals from outside Atlassian to give perspective or additional insight into specific topics (like AI or teamwork).
Outside of the keynotes there are dozens (hundreds?) of other talks ranging from how specific customers solved XYZ with Atlassian to how you can adopt best practices and more. These breakout sessions happen regularly throughout the day all around the expo hall.

What can we expect?
Given Atlassian's recent announcements about acquiring various other companies I imagine we'll hear a lot about how they will be integrating them into Atlassian's stack. For example, they recently acquired The Browser Company of New York. This suggests that'll be building out their own browser (which, given the Rovo browser extension makes sense), which would allow Atlassian an even great ability to integrate with your day-to-day work.
Artificial Intelligence is another area I could expect Atlassian to have some major announcements around - especially given they have expanded Rovo into all paid cloud tiers (although this is also a general trend that I expect to continue with basically every system for the next... well, long time :D). Specifically for Atlassian I can easily see them expanding Rovo's footprint to cover more systems, provide more in-depth use (e.g. helping with Confluence Databases or sprint planning) and generally be a more reliable tool.

What is Rob up to?
I will mostly be spending my time on the showroom floor. My goal is to meet as many people as possible since I've behind a screen most of the time. I find this is the best way to experience team since I 1 - get to actually meet people who are otherwise screen names and 2 - I get more personal stories around how they use systems (or more personal to them).
If you're at team please reach out! (contacts below). I'll be floating between different vendor booths, and also recording some friends talks (also below) - I'd absolutely love to meet you (I also have 100 badge banners to give away... get one while you can!).
